EOBI Proof of Life (POL)

Proof of Life (POL)

What is POL?

Abbreviation of POL is Proof of Life; "Any person who have bank account performs his biometric verification for proving his status as ALIVE/ACTIVE for the authentication purposes by the banks or state/government".
The banks and other organizations have adopted different methods for Proof of Life verification; The EOBI pensioners have to perform their biometric verification after every six (6) months to avoid any mishaps.
The Bank Alfalah and EOBI both have collectively devised a standard operating procedure (SOP) where as;
The pensioner has to visit any BAFL branch / designated BB (Branch less Banking) Agent locations every six months to provide his/her "proof of life".
The branch/agent will require the pensioner's CNIC and pension book to retrieve the information on the front-end system.
The pensioner will be asked to do biometric verification. In case, the biometric verification is unsuccessful, the pensioner will undergo a physical verification at Bank Alfalah Ltd. branch.
After successful verification, the pensioner wallet account will be marked as active for the next 6 months.
