Employee's Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) is an Autonomous/Semi Govt. organization whose is designed for the benefits of Old-Age people of Pakistan. The main focus of EOBI is on labour workers; who work in private sectors. The function of EOBI is to compensate the individuals (employees) working with in the private sector and to provide them the benefits in share of monthly pension or one time grant. Any private sector organization hires employees and keep their data in their record. Same is the case of EOBI which is bound to keep check on the employers (private sector) and the employees (labour/workers) and get them registered with EOBI. EOBI get the employees registered through private company with the help of EOBI Act. 1976 and issues the EOBI registration cards to the individuals. So the key point is that EOBI keeps the data of labour/employee working in private sectors in Pakistan; For this purpose back in 2002, EOBI had announced about an EOBI Contribution Proforma wherein the details of employees are available along with the individual's contribution paid to EOBI. The private companies are bound to provide the annual contribution proforma called PR02A; this contribution proforma is required to be submitted each year in the of fiscal year. This PRO2A is very helpful because it contains the full data of workers / employees about their date of appointment, date of birth, CNIC number, date of retirement, date of termination, annual share or contribution paid by employee as well as employer.
